Who is Hello Strata?
We are an independent Australian tech company. We have no affiliation with any strata management, building management, or real estate business. Our team have long careers in creating the digital experiences you expect in banking, travel, online shopping and social media, yet absent from strata.
What does Hello Strata provide?
As a strata committee member or strata manager, Hello Strata provides a web based platform to manage communications related to the day-to-day running of a residential strata scheme. Rather than relying on email, we make it easy to communicate, track and solve issues to be addressed by the strata committee and associated strata/building management.
A support request in Hello Strata represents an item requiring your committee’s attention - i.e. getting quotes for repairs. Each support request allows photos, documents or links to be attached. Workflow tools make it easy to track the request through to completion. Anything posted to Hello Strata remains available when strata committee members or managers change in future.
What if our strata plan is self managed?
Perfect! You can still use Hello Strata to communicate with your fellow committee members. There’s no requirement for a strata manager to set your building up on Hello Strata.
Can we manage financials on Hello Strata?
Not at this stage. Our platform is independent of any accounting software used by your strata management provider and therefore can’t accept or track levy payments from lot owners. This keeps our costs low and Hello Strata easy to use with it’s focus on communication and workflow. Hello Strata can be used alongside any accounting systems used by your strata manager.
How do I get my strata plan on Hello Strata?
Anyone can sign up and add a strata plan in under 3 minutes. As per our terms of service, the creator of a strata plan on Hello Strata must be an authorised representative of that strata plan (i.e. a current, financial committee member). Out of courtesy, we suggest discussing the use of Hello Strata with your committee prior to signing up.
What happens when the committee changes?
Of course, strata committees and strata managers change over time but we expect a building to stand for decades. It was our founder’s frustration with information stuck in past committee member’s minds and inboxes that lead to the creation of Hello Strata.
If you create a strata plan on Hello Strata, you are automatically granted administration rights and can invite others. Anyone invited with the role of ‘Strata Manager’ or ‘Building Manager’ is also an administrator. However, users can be added and removed over time and administration rights transferred.
Will I have to pay for Hello Strata?
Hello Strata remains free for the basic plan. In the interests of transparency, we’ve outlined our intended pricing in future whereby a per strata plan cost will apply for a premium plan.
Can I have multiple strata plans on Hello Strata?
Yes, if you sit on multiple strata committees you an add/join multiple strata plans with a single (email based) user account. Likewise, a strata manager can interact with multiple strata plans with a single user account.
Is Hello Strata secure?
Although we are young, progressive company, we are proud to be supported by industry leaders with technology used at scale globally. Google Firebase powers Hello Strata, managing user authentication and securely storing our data. Google Firebase is trusted and implemented by many leading organisations including New York Times, Lyft and Alibaba.
